🕍 Instances

Instances (also known as Memorial Dungeons) are one of the defining features of Ragnarok Online.

They are private dungeons that generate a unique map for a party upon creation.
Once an instance is created, only that party can enter, ensuring an exclusive experience.

Some instances have tickets, seconds chances to try. They work as extra lives but on the basis of one ticket per character. This means that in case the party wipes, for example, a member can re-enter the instance, by using a ticket, and try to use Resurrection (opens in a new tab) or an Yggdrasil Leaf (opens in a new tab) in each member to see if they can now clear the instance.

Instances also feature cooldowns, preventing players from re-entering immediately after completing or failing one.

❌ Disabled Skills

Certain skills are disabled inside instances to maintain balance and fairness.

Skill	Description
Teleport (opens in a new tab)	Players cannot teleport inside instances.
Ice Wall (opens in a new tab)	Prevents terrain manipulation to maintain challenge.
Intimidate (opens in a new tab)	Disables forced movement of enemies.
Spider Web (opens in a new tab)	Prevents excessive crowd control.
Expulsion (opens in a new tab)	Restricts forced character displacement.
Ignorance (opens in a new tab)	Prevents debuffing NPCs unfairly.
Dimensional Door (opens in a new tab)	Restricts unauthorized warping.
Vacuum Extreme (opens in a new tab)	Disables terrain control skills.
Convenio (opens in a new tab)	Prevents unfair teleportation of allies.
Warp Portal (opens in a new tab)	Stops creating portals inside instances.
